With so much great news to share, we figured we'd send out this month's E-Newsletter a little early! The 2013 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto is less than two months away. 4-H Ontario will be there each day, so be sure to visit our booths. Recently, our Durham West members did an exchange program with members from Alberta. Read up on their experience below. 

4-H Ontario prepares for the 2013 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair

As Fall approaches, so does the opening day of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, to be held November 1 through 10 in Toronto. We're busy finalizing details for the 4-H Ontario booths at this year's Royal. The focus for this year's Royal is greatly expanded, with an emphasis on "farm fresh fun". For more info click here >

This summer the Durham West 4-H (Ontario Group) was twinned with the Riviere Qui Barre Rancheros 4-H Club (Alberta Group) to travel to each other's province to experience a new part of Canada. This 4-H Canada exchange program is sponsored in part by Heritage Canada and 4-H Canada. Each club is responsible for fundraising for travels within their province. Read the full story here >

Policy Update
4-H Ontario has recently reviewed their policies. Several policies have just been updated which include 4.2.1 4-H Participants and 6.41 Travel Subsidy Expense Statement. The 4-H Ontario Policy Manual is a resource, which includes all policies, procedures, forms and factsheets. For a full list of 4-H Ontario's up to date policies which are indicated by "updated August/September 2013", click here >
Scholarship Deadlines
The Leading Edge Summit is a highly participatory learning event that has been pushing the boundaries of what leadership looks like since 2010. It provides innovative tools and practices to address current challenges and opportunities facing rural, small town and Northern Ontario. This year's event comes to Hockley Valley Resort in Orangeville from October 16-17. To register click here.
