Exciting Changes

During the past month, 4-H Ontario has experienced a lot of exciting changes and updates! The Volunteer Renewal and Orientation process received a fresh makeover, new staff members and Ambassadors joined the 4-H team, the 4-H Ontario blog was launched and the Syngenta 4-H Ontario Arbor Award recipients were selected. 2012 Ambassadors

The 2012 Ambassadors have joined the 4-H team. Join us in welcoming Julia Romagnolia, Samantha Klaver, Steven Stockdale, Victoria Kyle and Jennifer Pollock, featured in the above photo from left to right, with Dianne Kennedy of UPI Energy LP and Barry Hannah of GROWMARK, Inc.

We'd also like to extend a big congratulations and thank you to the 2011 Ambassadors: Alex Mitchell, Alissa Goodfellow, Cassandra Chornobo, Jennifer Betzner and Sylvia Megens. Each one of these individuals did a truly amazing job representing 4-H Ontario throughout the past year.
Dairy Sense Registration Open

Jim MacCoubrey Receives Award
Jim MacCoubrey recently received the Order of Parry Sound award from Parry Sound Mayor, Jamie McGarvey. This award recognizes Jim’s outstanding volunteer efforts and community initiatives.

Jim has been a 4-H Volunteer for 15 years and he's given back tremendously to the program. Read Jim's story here >
Volunteer Orientation and Renewal
4-H Volunteer Renewal and Orientation procedures have undergone an exciting reconstruction to rejuvenate Volunteers and equip them with the necessary knowledge to be the best Volunteer they can be. More information available here >
Meet Charlotte Palmer

Syngenta 4-H Ontario Arbor Award Winners Announced
Announcing the 2012 Syngenta 4-H Ontario Arbor Award recipients: Brian O'Neill >, Anne Marie Werry > and Deborah Brown >. This award recognizes a select few 4-H Ontario volunteers who have served the organization for over 10 years and have positively impacted both 4-H in Ontario and their local community. More details on the recipients will be featured in next month's E-Newsletter!
GROWMARK Essay Contest
As part of the International Year of Co-operatives, GROWMARK Ontario Region wanted to find a way to help educate more young people about cooperative principles and values. The solution — the “Cooperative in a Global Environment” essay contest for 4-H Members. More details can be found here >
