Growing in 4-H

This month's E-Newsletter features some great opportunities to develop leadership and life skills. For the Volunteer, the Leading Edge Summit is a fantastic conference dedicated toward leadership in rural communities. For the Member, the Amber Underwood Memorial News Competition and Huron County 4-H Sheep Invitational are great chances to practise and improve your leadership and life skills. There is also an introduction to staff member, Kathryn Lambert, information on the Justin Parish Memorial Bursary, and information about Canada's most prestigious youth scholarship, which is a perfect fit for 4-H Members.

BRITESPAN 4-H Dairy Invitational

4-H Ontario's Communications summer student, Danielle, recently attended the BRITESPAN 4-H Invitational Show in Lucknow, Ontario. With 144 exhibitors competing and the stands full with spectators, this year's event was a great experience for her to learn more about 4-H. This one-day show for dairy 4-H Members is in its 10th year! Read more about this volunteer driven show, with the mission of being “the best one-day show possible where every 4-H Member was glad to have been there”, on 4-H Folklore.

Have you been reading the 4-H Folklore blog? We'd love to feature you! We're looking for "favourite 4-H memories" to share during November for 4-H Month. Please contact Nikki Kross to share your 4-H story.
