4-H Ontario announces resignation of Executive Director

ROCKWOOD, ON (Oct. 1, 2019) - 4-H Ontario is announcing the departure of its Executive Director, Debra Brown, as of September 24. Debra began her career at 4-H Ontario in 2012 as the Manager of Volunteer and Community Engagement and became the Executive Director in 2013. Over the past seven years, Debra has not only led the organization but has also been a true example of 4-H and its values in both her professional and personal life.

As of September 25, Evelyn Chambers, Senior Manager of Volunteer and Community Engagement at 4-H Ontario will serve as the Interim Executive Director. 4-H Ontario will begin the search for a new leader and announce the selection of a new Executive Director within the next year.

4-H Ontario is a non-profit positive youth development organization that builds youth as leaders within their communities and assets to the world. With roots in rural Ontario, today it is open to youth of all backgrounds across the province. 4-H youth ages 6–21 and screened, engaged volunteer leaders come together to learn about selected topics through fun hands-on activities and mentorship. There are also provincial camps, conferences, competitions and national and international travel opportunities available to further develop skills in leadership, business, self-confidence and more. 4-H provides youth with a place they can be involved, accepted, valued and heard while developing valuable skills for leadership and life.
