To Our 4-H Community

(Posted March 11, 2020)

To our 4-H Community,

Like many of you, the staff team at 4-H Ontario are intently watching the global developments of the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic.

At this time we have equipped our event and camp facilitators with extra hand sanitizer and antibacterial hand soap. We have also adapted our programming to include reminders on how we can all help stop the spread of any virus or infection by practicing regular hand-washing, staying home when sick, and coughing/sneezing into your elbow (not your hands). We would like to remind all 4-H Volunteers to implement these same practices within your local clubs.

4-H Ontario will always put the safety and health of our youth, volunteers, and staff as the highest priority when making decisions in regards to events and activities. We are receiving regular reports from Health Canada, as well as our local health detachments on risk assessment and best practices for hygiene.

We will continue to update our membership as the situation evolves and thank everyone for their patience and diligence in managing the health and safety of our 4-H Family.

Thank you.

Evelyn Chambers

Interim Executive Director
