Looking Out For Each Other

Submitted by Oxford 4-H. Do you know the early warning signs for detecting diseases such as cancer, diabetes and other illnesses? Understand the importance of early detection. Members will also explore the areas of depression, eating disorders, self-esteem and learn where to go for help. Under the guidance of Health Unit staff, learn CPR and the use of portable defibrillators. Also covered in this project, Members will be introduced to accessibility issues and will learn about community organizations that reach out to those in need.

Mounted Games

Submitted by Halton 4-H. Mounted Games are a series of fast relay races, performed by riders on pony-back. Navigate games courses and participate in relay races in pairs or teams of four. This project encourages members to train their ponies to be obedient and will teach the riders to become safe, active and practical riders who will compete with enthusiasm and determination. Small Sewing Projects

Offered as three projects, Level one projects include how to make T-shirt shopping bags, blue jean book bags, nine-patch pillows, magic bags and cancer caps. As part of Level three, each member will make their own sundress to wear.
