Clubs

The following clubs will be running in the Erin area:
1. Local Foods – members will learn to make their own flour using local wheat and make their own pasta and sausage. We will learn how to can tomatoes as well as make sauces. We will learn how to make strawberry jam from local fruit and prepare a complete meal from local ingredients. This will be a full day and half overnight camp.  Date of overnight meeting will be Sat & Sun March 17th & 18th.
2. Focus On Art - Members will "Learn to do my doing" about colour theory and art terms by using pencil, charcoal, pen & ink, water colours, acrylics and screen printing to create a portfolio of artworks.  This club will begin on Thursday Feb 23 at 7 pm at Mimosa United Church & will run every other Thursday night.
3. Sewing With Patterns and Knits – Members will learn how to use a pattern to create a shirt or shorts . Then they will be introduced to a serger to create a knit t-shirt or other knit item. No sewing machine needed. Machines can be supplied.  This club will begin on Thursday March 1st at 7 pm at Mimosa United Church.
4. Photography Basics – Members will learn about camera settings, composition lighting and special effects. Landscapes, portraiture and close-ups will be covered. An introduction to Photo Shop will help members learn how to get the most out their photos.  This club will begin on Friday March 30th at 7 pm at June Switzer's house 9042 Wellington Road #22 and meet on the 4th Friday of each month until October. 
 
This summer we will also offer a Lego Basics club and in the fall both a Pizza & a Chocolate Club.
