Frontenac County is Royal Bound!

Congratulations to the following 4H members who have been selected to represent the Frontenac 4H Beef & Dairy clubs at the 95th Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto!


Frontenac 4H Beef Team: Denver Bolton, Emma Fillion and herdsperson Jared Hunter. The beef team will be competing in the Masterfeed National Junior Beef Heifer Show, November 4th

Frontenac 4H Dairy Team: Rachel Clow, Clarissa McCallum, Katie Babcook, Courtney Orser, Sandeep Sinha, Logan Turner, Carter Brown, Sarah Doyle and herdsperson Graham Orser. Alternate member is Sarah Campbell.  The dairy team will be competing in the TD Canadian 4H Dairy Classic, November 7th & 8th.

Congratulations to 16 year old Kieran Shannon of Glenburnie, Ontario who has been named the

Local teens travelling to Guatemala to help those in need

As students get ready for March Break and the hiatus from school it provides, two local high school students are looking forward to the week off for a different reason. TD Canadian 4H Classic Dairy Show

The Frontenac 4H Dairy Team travelled to the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair on November 7th to complete with almost 400 other 4H dairy members from across the country in the TC Canadian 4H Dairy Classic show. The team had a very exciting and eventful weekend!

The big news of the weekend! Teddy Brown and her calf, Trent Valley Goldchip Abra 6, beat out almost 400 other competitors to capture the Grand Champion Calf title! Teddy also placed 12th in the senior showmanship finals.

Logan Welsh-Turner and Avonlea Tequila Tickles placed 2nd in the Jersey Calf Class

Anna Doyle and HickoryAcres LaSenza Impression placed 10th in the Jersey Yearling class.

The Frontenac Group of 3 placed 5th out of the 30+ teams at the show.

We would like to specially thank Rebecca Barr, Gyneen Dickson and the parents for helping the team out over the weekend. We would also like to thank our sponsors for making this all possible!

Spetember 4th, 2015- Congratulations Anna Doyle with Reserve Champion 4H Jersey at the Quinte Championship Jersey Show with Hickory Acres Lasenza.

2015 Inter-County Dairy Judging Competiton.

Aug 20th, 2015-  Frontenac County had some members attend the  2015 INTER-COUNTY 4-H DAIRY CATTLE JUDGING COMPETITION that took place July 30th in Metcalfe, On. There a total of 80 participants. 
Here are the highlights:
Clarissa McCallum (Junior Division): 2nd place other breeds (pictured receiving her award), 3rd holstein (tied), 6th place high placing score, 9th individual score. 
Shelby Eves (Junior Division): 10th high placing score, 10th place jersey.
7th place Jr team overall.

Quinte-Trent Valley Jersey Show

August 10th, 2015- Frontenac County 4H was well represented at the Quinte-Trent Valley Parish Open Jersey Show. Clarrisa McCallum & Anna Doyle both showed thier 4H animal well with Anna and her calf Hicory Acres La Senza Impression winning the reserve Jr Champion title! Anna is pictured below with Lasenza and Natasha Abrams, 4H leader and owner of Lasenza.

East-Central Jersey Calf Rally Results

July 11th, 2015

Fronteanc County was well represented at the East-Central Ontario Jersey Calf Rally on July 11th. We had Lillian Stanton, Kenzie Snider, Jordan Snider, Clarrisa McCallum, Courtney Orser and Shelby Eves attend the event. All of our members place in top 3 in various classes. Kanzie & Lillian placed 2nd & 3rd in junior showmanship and Countney and Shelby placed 1st and 2nd in intermediate showmanship. Countney was Grand Champion Showman, with Shelby taking Resreve Grand Champion. Kenzie had Reserve Grand Champion Calf with Orserdale IPod Desire. Big Congradualtions goes out to Clarissa McCallum who was crowned Jersey Rally Princess! 

Eastgen Showcase & Junior Show

July 7th, 2015

Frontenac Dairy Clubs were well represented at the Eastgen Showcase & Ontario Junior Show that took place in Spencerville, ON on July 4th. There were about 19 members in the Showcase and 10 members in the Junior Show. Highlights include Katie Babcook placing 2nd in a strong Jr showmanship class, Courntney Orser placing 5th in Jr showmanship in the jr show, Graham Orser & Clarissa McCallum has 1st place Quizes (tie for 1st) and Graham, Clarissa as well as Shelby Eves all won embryos.
